Hi guys / guyettes, I've been looking like crazy for a place to buy this in the UK - only released a few days ago in the US and it looks like a B E A U T Y apart from the shabby box cover

Image

Does anybody know where to get it in the UK, or with a reasonable shipping price overseas?

Any input is appreciated, Thanks!

this shitty thing on the left is the box???
the whole picture look like a fake...
and besides the beauty of grrrrrren vinyl it sounds like money-makin' ... nothing else - or is there anything special (joshs (?) 12" asshole, ok, that's special... ) ?

sorry for not helping you in any way

Yep, that's the box! LOL - guess it's intentionally shit

It is real though, on ebay they're going for around $150-250 + Shipping :/

Other places:

http://www.soundstagedirect.com/type-o- ... ords.shtml

http://www.discogs.com/Type-O-Negative- ... se/3248246

But too expensive!

Edit: Soundstage just put the price up from $115 to $175! Cheeky!

here at discogs are better pictures
http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=3248246
now it gets interesting...

there the box looks rather ok, but the vinyl-color doesn't match the rest of the green stuff. hard to capture colours, or to get a nice green vinyl? (it's the same with green nail varnish :smug: )

but as I can compare the original bloody kisses to that one I would say they destroyed the artwork, looks like gloss-paper to me and hey - plain white envelopes? are they serious?

I don't know if it helps - but don't buy that stuff - it's just putting money into Roadrunners ringing bag.
If I remember correctly the relationship to the band wasn't the best ... so maybe it's in sense of the band?

Plain white sleeves? :O

I hadn't considered it from the bands point of view, I've always wanted WCD and SDAH on vinyl, but the more I look at it (and the prices) I start to change my mind, but it's all but one of their albums, on VINYL!! Might stick to what I normally get at Christmas, Alcohol, CDs and classic Italian horror movies :)

yes, plain white inner-sleeves, they are lying behind the LPs... (or how do you call that? I know, my english isn't that good)
that's what they should look like
Image

there are the lyrics, the thanks-blabla and some pictures...
and besides that I like the paper of the outer-sleeve... it's thick and matt and simply is different (from 99,9% of the vinyl)
(thats something for the "obsession"-thread. paper! )

I totally understand you from the collectors-point-of-view... :D
but after I stumpled over this really strange "best of" in a shop I read some interviews about that...
and as long as there is hope I would try (no, I am trying!) to get the original pressing...

You could say that the World Coming Down and Life Is Killing Me LP's are the originals  they don't exist elsewhere

Roadrunner fucked Peter Steele his entire life. He's dead. Tempting as it is, I won't pick this up because I think Pete is probably as we speak trying to haunt the offices at Roadrunner. And I am like, the bggest ToN fan, I grew up on them.

I am glad that someone else thinks like that, too :ok:

They owned the poor guy after Carnivore died and he was forming Type O Negative, Type O was shopping demos to other major labels, and Roadrunner said NOPE and threatened legal action, basically blacklisted Type O from getting a deal anywhere cause they had a poor broke young Pete's signature.

The saddest part is no new Type O Negative.
