Singer and lyricist Aaron Stainthorpe comments:

"It is with great pleasure that MY DYING BRIDE can announce they will be joining forces with the formidable Nuclear Blast Records in early 2017 and have already begun working on material for the next LP and singles. It is no secret that Nuclear Blast have continued to expand greatly over the years, signing epic bands from all corners of the world and giving them the chance they deserve to make something of themselves in the ever expanding metal scene. And it’s time that MY DYING BRIDE came along for the ride. We are hoping that this wedding between a very solid label and a well established act will bear fruit of mighty proportions in the exciting years to come.

Cheers!"

Aye, quite a surprise after 2.5 decades of Peaceville. It is a bit unclear to me why they would change label since they always seemed happy with Peaceville, but perhaps after 27 years shaking up things a little is necessary to gain some new inspiration. I wonder if signing a bigger label will influence things like tour locations or video-clip productions.

Seems that lately they were neglected by Peaceville - A Harvest of Dread was cancelled. Maybe they'll be able to tour a bit more and have some more budget for video-clips. Hope My Dying Bride will still keep its unique sound and atmosphere on the new label and continue to create amazing art. :worship:

What does the label change mean for "A Harvest of Dread"? NB only mentioned a new album in the works where the band is heading for new horizons.

Logical label change. Too many fuck-ups by Peaceville the last few years (remember the church bells that somehow didn't get masterd onto the current album) and as Dark Flyer says, the cancellation of A Harvest Of Dread.

I hope there will be more traffic on the board when the band releases something new!
