Other than that, I think the vocal work on The Raven And The Rose is absolutely amazing.

(...I think you can guess what my favourite MDB album is :P)

I still am mesmerized... when I heard them preform live The Dreadful Hours... and I actually heard all the audience screaming along with Aaron "...for young boy my hand brings Doom!" I'll always remember that... and the same thing happened with "You're still mine... my lover"

Oh yeah, that part in My Hope The Destoyer where he sings "you're still mine, my lover" is one of the most beautiful parts on the entire album. I still think The Dreadful Hours is one of the best albums MDB has released, especially the frist two songs, WOW!

It was impressive to hear all those people singing this verse...

Totally disagree, he hardly even sings on this song, it's almost just spoken word. Sorry to say but it's one of their cheesiest songs to my ears.

The way he sing "A Sea to Suffer In".. learn you how to suffer...
How to deal with your love..when you are suffering from him\her..

"I'll suffer in your sea
Your ocean bleeds into me
I'll fall through your endless sky
But never, ever cry
Wounded by your cruelty
Yes, I'll suffer in your sea

The fields of blood I'd left
They mean nothing to you
That war left scars on me
Without you now, I'm free"

It's really charismatic...
There is no god but ALLAH...

Ditto.

It's almost painful to watch him perform it live.

And yes, that is a good thing :)

It's pain to even try to hum with him... haha... It happened to me, but I was in my lowest states back then... The lowest self-esteem ever...

I have always loved Aarons vocals on "Sear me III"
I also love how he sort of fades into being on "Le figile della tempesta"

I also have to say, i think "A line of deathless kings" holds alot of his best 'vocal' work, simply because he sings alot more.

He said in an interview about his vocal work on the album;
"For the first time, I'm trying to sing properly.I don't claim to be brilliant - I'm no Frank Sinatra - But I really enjoyed doing something different."

I also love his spoken word parts, especially in "My Fury Stands Ready" and "Loves Intolerable Pain" - so poetic "what if loves intolerable pain never leaves us? Do we dash our bleeding hearts on the rocks of loneliness?".

My divine negative, No joy can be compared to you, And no conquest can be equated with you, No euphoria can be compared with you, And no love can ever replace you..

Yes... the fact that he really tried to do that is very obvious from my point of view...

@Tyranny... yes, I know... I was joking because the context made it seem like For my Fallen Angel had growls
