My Dying Bride Forum

Take from me the crown of sympathy...

if they'd do another cover...

Discuss anything My Dying Bride-related

Which one would you like it to be?
I have a couple of songs I'd like to hear MDB interpret.

Bachelorette, by Björk
Black Soul Choir, by Sixteen Horsepower (slowed down)
and..
The Sorrowful Wife, by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

More suggestions? Or do you think MDB doing covers is a bad thing?
I kinda like the ones they've done so far.

Cheers!

how many have they made so far? I can only recollect 'Roads' by Portishead and 'Some Velvet Morning' by somebody whose name I cannot recall...

I believe those are the only ones yes :)
But I'd like to hear them attempt to do others.

Down in a hole by Alice in Chains would be a really nice one.

I'd love to hear an mdb version of "Yesterday Is Here" by Tom Waits. 8)

As I die by Paradise Lost? :? Wouldn't that be very superfluous?
That would be like Dismember making a cover of an Entombed song.

yeah, but they'd have to invite some singin' lady to do Minogue's parts... But who? Maybe the chick from Within Temptation or some other 'gothic' metal band....

And how about The Clash's 'London Calling' ? :) It would sound cool in some doomish style... :)

Actually alot of things by Nick Cave would probably sound really cool MDB-style.

Yeah, a lot of Caves music would be great covers(; Song of Joy for instance?

But it would be really funny if they made a cover of a nbm band or something. Mayhem or Darkthrone. Hah. Or some industrial maybe? Would be cool to hear a cover of NIN - Something I can Never Have.
