Basically I wanna know which 'Sear Me' song you think is the best :) If you find this thread stupid - ignore it or delete it :P :P

Oh, don't forget to say why :)

I vote for the last one... It's soooooooooo beautiful! One of the best tracks by MDB IMHO... When it comes to the other ones - the first is also great, but III kicks its ass :P And the second gets kinda boring somewhere in the middle :P

btw, is there gonna be a new one?

The topic isn't stupid enough to get deleted.

Sear Me MCMXCIII is the best imo. By far! I love that kind of music. Many years ago there were "plans" to make a whole album with 'Sear Me MCMXCIII' and 'Blak God' tracks on it (as a side project I think). Man, I would love that to happen.

I can't choose because I feel like they all suit different moods. Though I suppose I tend to listen to the latter two more often than the first. Why? I'm not sure really. I think the melodies in the last two are more majestic and sweeping. I only really want the edge of the original when I'm in a rather foul mood.

I agree with RWHN. As they're all different, it really depends upon your mood. Generally, I think Sear Me '93 (sorry, can't remember the numerals!) suits my overall mood.

I prefer Sear Me III, probably just because i heard it before the others. In fact, I think Sear Me MCMXCIII is probably my least favourite. I love the original too much.

1. Sear me ( 1992 ) this is the ultimate doom-metal song ( IMO )

2. Sear me III ( 1993 ) ...sigh...

3. Sear me mcmxc III I love those lyrics...

I voted for number one.

Sear Me III all the way. Total beauty and fantastic lyrics.

I almost consider Catherine Blake as Sear Me IV actually, because of the drums. If the original and the third is so different, it's just fair that CB is included too :)

I absolutly love Sear Me for the latin lyrics... its a wonderful song... just amazing... but, however, I voted for Sear me 93 for the "We dance and the music dies" it has a special menaing to me... I love it.

Sear Me III.
I really don't know why. They're all great, but I prefer III.

Actually, For My Fallen Angel should count as part 2 of the Sear Me-trilogy. If Im not completely mistaken there was an interview with Aaron where he mentioned this. I cant remember the exact words but it was about the lyrical theme being the same through Sear Me MCMXCIII, For My Fallen Angel and Sear Me III. The first Sear Me was about something else.
Now that I think of it, this is a rather vauge memory so please correct me if Im wrong... or let me know if anyone else remembers this.

Yea, I remember this too. And you have the "running through meadows"-lines through all of them (except the first Sear Me).

I really love that line too. The entire lyric is amazing, but that one really gets me.
