In Australia, we dont have alot of metal festivals, but we have one decent one which has been going on for couple of years now

called Metalstock.

It has a couple of big international headliners and 14 Australian bands

Bans havve included the likes of Nevercell, and Katakalysm

Nice pictures and nice review. I didnt take the time to read it before but I would have liked really much this gig, as a big fan of post-rock music and especially, Explosions In The Sky.

It was the first time I saw them, what can I say, they delivered an excellent set, they are very skilled musicians and I'm surprised all 6 members fit on that small stage. The sound was extremely loud, I'm glad I wore my earplugs (as always). It was disappointing to see there was such a small audience, I estimate around 50 people. I also bought their new 2-cd, which I have not listened yet though, but I will asap.

Crap. I am sadly out of touch with concert lists and such. If I'd known they played in Eindhoven I would have been there...

I usually think Graspop has a pretty strong lineup. This year though, with the exception of a couple of bands, it's looking weak.

I'm not going to Bloodstock, but I suppose bands such as Candlemass, Carcass, Enslaved, Katatonia ... will probably make up for it. Europe headling the last day does strike me as a bit of a joke though  If it was up to me, Candlemass would be headlining.

Man..today i found out that Black Sabbat's show in Belgrade 28.06. 2012 will be without Tony (instead of him guitar player will be Zakk Wylde!
Concert is now called Ozzy and friends..(it would be like some mini festival)

The Cult and Paradise Lost are confirmed to play wich is VERY good thing!
Organizer say that another 3 big bands has to confirm their performance..
they better be top bands :x

Sadly, it's almost the same in Berlin. The tickets are affordable, when they come out. But the sales are only from their website and everything is sold-out in less than ten minutes. Then the tickets go out for over 200 euros a piece on ebay or some other shitty site. From over a dozen concert last three years I managed to see them once. To grant access and get the tickets we had to use a proxy with almost direct line to the website hosting service. I really hope they do something about that :x

Went to the Destroyers of the Faith gig last night at Birmingham - possibly the craziest concert I've ever been to, the crowd were pretty dead for the first two acts, ppl (including myself) started moshing started during Triptykon, and when CC came on it was almost non-stop madness! Might have fractured my nose lol, must take body armour and a helmet next time haha.

I know the feeling all too well haha, was super dehydrated, drunk and miles away from home when it ended, and the bus didn't come so had to walk home for the most part lol! Went to both gigs, but the ones in Birmingham a few months back.

Truely breathtaking performance from Ahab @ Summerbreeze at 3am! Was fighting not to burst into tears, I kid you not. Ghost Brigade, Paradise Lost and The Foreshadowing did their bit as well (as far as the doomy compartment of that festival goes)

I was about halfway down the room, on the right (facing towards the stage right) against a wall with a Guinness and short hair lol! :devilsign:

what a band, they really rock. among the few who are still original + unique nowadays.

Orphaned Land are unusual and for me brilliant :D They seem to prefer small venues as I also saw them in an under 100 people "sold out" special concert.

Ι was wondering the same thing.
They're playing in Thessaloniki on the 15th, but I think they've become a bit uninteresting over the years.
So probably I'll end up going to the Orange Goblin concert, which takes place the same day.

Yeah, that's the problem..I have the opportunity to see them live eighteenth of this month..but i'm not sure is it worth to buy a ticket..
