Same again! I would really really love that :(

Agreed, they just pick a scale and build whole the song on it, that's why they sound "plastic", especially in their last album. It's just boring.

But ARF is a great album though

We had a Draconian topic?! Egad! Thank you Duriel for necroing it!
I agree with you about their last album, although lyrically exquisite, it was a musical abyss in their career.
But, about them sounding "plastic" (I think I have got a vague impression of what you mean) I have to disagree! I actually find their music very much touching, and by music I mean leaving the lyrics at bay and just focusing on the melodies. And remember that they concentrate melodically on vocals, rather than guitars.
And I find Anders' growls one of the most perfectly-groomed, and most flowless in the whole doom metal scene.

any news about the new female singer ?

in fb came out that they are rehearsing, but no more details.
it would be impossible to keep the band without female vocals.

I don't know, and I couldn't find anything on their website either. Perhaps they're trying to surprise us at the last minute! But, at least at the moment, I think Draconian without female vocals wouldn't sound the same.
Yet, I must admit, that I still hope, through some miracle, Lisa could be back again. :(

Oh, you two were faster than me. I also wanted to post the good news. I just read the post on their homepage.

But anyway it's good to hear that they have found a new singer and that a new album is on its way. I'm curious how the voice of this lady will sound and how it will work together with the style of the music.

Hopefully the new singer will be good and they won't be going the way of Tristania...

Yes, it's going to be a torture these few months until their next release. I'm quite sure it is far from easy to fill Lisa's shoes.

The first recording with Heike. I have no idea how I've missed it.

Also I've read the band is working on their next album. Hopefully they'll have some live shows this year too :D
