You might like "Totenmond" from germany. One of the very few bands in this genre which I like to listen to now and then.

Gojira are brillant and I love them too. But can you consider that as Death metal ? Belphegor or Avulsed are maybe bands closer from that genre, in my opinion.

Fair enough. I still think they are far closer from Hardcore style (especially their early beginning) than from Death metal. Just a question of perception I guess...

Anyway, does anyone like Carcass here ?

To answer your question: yes, there are people who like those bands.

And I'm one of them

I always wanted to check out Morbid Angel's stuff but then I heard they've got some kind of right-wing attitude, so I lost interest for the time being.

But I admit I don't know if it's true..

Ahahah ^^. Very nice analysis, I totally agree with that. And love the "rot and roll" description :D

I've never heard that before, and I find it surprising. Do you know where you heard it?

Well, on that "Over The Madness"-DVD by Paradise Lost, for example. There's some talk about them.
But maybe I got it wrong and should just go and check them out. I just don't want to spend money on stuff made by people who have stupid opinions and so, you know.

Ahhh yes, we shall have to give that a spin! :devilsign:

I'm a huge death metal fan.. (it's probably my favourite genre within metal) A few of my very favourite bands include Bloodbath, Dismember, Morbid Angel, Vital Remains, Decapitated, Edge Of Sanity, Nocturnus, Vader..

Oh yes, and..

..a bit more trivia: That same guy also performed guest vocals on the album.

Great album! My favourite of all Death's releases :)

Great band, death metal with a lot of prog and doom elements. Of the two full-length albums the first is heavier, the second not really death metal at all but still awesome. Truly excellent band.

I couldn't agree more, truly excellent band. I think a lot of My Dying Bride fans would appreciate them as well. Especially Immense, Intense, Suspense, with it's great use of violin. That album really is something special..
