In The Nightside Eclipse - Emperor
The Principle of Evil Made Flesh - Cradle of Filth (say what you will, it's a black metal album!)
Frost - Enslaved

Disclaimer, as some black metal purists can get very agitated about ... everything: THESE ARE MY FAVOURITE BLACK METAL ALBUMS, I'M NOT SAYING THEY ARE THE UNIVERSAL "BEST"

As long as they pull your chain, that's all that matters. :)

:( Gallhammer are amazing in my opinion, if you've only heard Speed Of Blood then please give them another listen as that song sucks balls but its the only one anyone seems to have heard, songs to listen to by them would be The Onset Of The Age Of Despair, Ripper In The Gloom and World To Be Ashes.
Don't forget May our Father Die

A brilliant song aswell! I would recommend Crucifixion aswell but you have to make sure you hear the re-recorded version, the original sounds too slow in my opinion.

Listened to them on their MySpace page, I like their material. And boy do they look the part, with hoods and axes and whatnot.

I managed to order Immortal Black Art from amazon.com, so it's gonna take a while to arrive. Their other stuff is quite hard to track down, where have you been getting it from? Their label or other sources.

Indeed, Landfermann´s voice is wicked. The whole album is sick, no other band will ever come close.

I saw one album from Bethlehem for 10 Reais (5 USD)last week. I heard this band once but I can't remember how they sound like.[/quote]

These albums from Darkthrone and Burzum are very good, but this one from Mayhem I haven't heard yet.

Oh yes - I have to agree with Filosofem - Dunkleheit is just so amazing. A Blaze In The Northern Sky is one of my fave Darkthrone albums. I haven't heard that particular Mayhem one though.

I only have one Bethlehem album - Dark Metal. I really like it. I've listened to some of the other stuff on LastFM. It's not always easy to get hold of their CD's.

Both of you: Check the Mayhem album out! it's really something!

And what the fuck is that? Outfits like that are just horrible. Not evil, not epic, just... stupid. Or is it just me..? They look like they havn't decided whom to ripp off, so thet mixed it all - Dimmu Borgir from Death Cult Armageddon(http://decibelsstorm.free.fr/images/group/Large/dimmu-borgir_01_L.jpg) , Satyricon from Nemesis Devina(http://www.satyricon.no/images/gallery/ ... 15_big.jpg) + a little bit of early Emperor(http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Lo ... ihsahn.jpg).

These boys are Ceremonial Castings, who IMHO look marvellously over the top. As indeed many black metal bands do. (http://listoftheday.blogspot.com/2008/08/ridiculous-black-metal-band-photos-of.html) Their tunes are worth checking out though, as Frankenstein suggested.
