Microscopic artwork?!
Are they yours?
Wonderful, nonetheless. :ok:

Thank you - I have indeed created those pictures, but I don´t know if I could also call these animals mine - they don´t seem to behave slighty different wether I am there or when I am not. Seldom people are so irrelevant.

Wonderful, nontheless! But I'm quite sure a certain method was used to obtain these particularly artistic results, which seem significantly different from all the pictures of microscopic creatures I've ever seen; and that's where the art is. The painter certainly cannot call the physical landscape his, but that particular interpertion of the landscape he has created, harmonic to the senses, is what we dub his art.
It reminds me of fractal art, which mathematicians seem to be quite fond of.
Sometimes the whole universe seems like one massive fractal to me, holding an enitre world within every part of it, simmilar in organisation to the one containg it, and so forth.

Funny enough, I am quite into fractal mathematics and do believe that it closely reflects the design of nature. Considering the way these pictures were made (some have been done throughout tracing a real photo) this theory seems to be prooved somehow. Even where you do not expect it you see how things are linked.

Interesting point! Sometimes I think the reason why our mathematical methods and theories work so well in interperting natural phenomena, is neither our mathematical axioms and methods being natural, nor as some people put it, god being a mathematician.I think it's because mathematics and the logic associated with it are simply the purest, most natural form of abstraction of human mind, the same mind with which we percieve natural and physical phenomena. In brief, it might be that both reflect how human perception works.

Well, also mathematicians are natural creatures, so no matter how hard they try they simply cannot escape their own origin.

Precisely! :ok:
I sometimes wonder if the way our mind works, also places an upper bound on the extent of the knowledge we may obtain, as a kind. Is it even possible to achieve a different, possibly improved, ways of percieving things?

Well of course, many of the discoveries in Physics and Mathematics in the 20th for example were done by people perceiving things differently. There are many examples, but just consider Einstein and Mandelbrot. Both where thought to be crazy or foolish by their fellow scientists, but now we see they were just too different from the mainstream at that time.

There are a lot visionaries, who changed/evolved the way we understand nature. And as there are still a lot of unresolved questions I suspect there will be many more to come.
