oh and I almost forgot... last Friday I went to see The Golden Compass, the fantasy movie. The story itself is good indeed but somehow this movie didn`t get even close for exmple if we compare it to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Golden Compass was also full of clichees and somehow it left me hollow. Anyway, the story itself was good and I think I will read the book to get a better insight of it. It was about the truth. Sometimes white is blacker than black, as someone here on the forum ( or was it on the old forum ) once statedYes, ill will is many times disquised by a trendy white clothing
The story has the basic fantasy structure of the battle between the evil forces and the good forces.

I was ready to see this movie, but with what you said, I'm not sure at all!![]()
I just saw the trailer but I never relied on them because they always show you the best part of the movie...
Do not listen to me, just go and see it youself. Tell me afterwards your opinions ok?

dein wrote:Democritus wrote:I watch many movies...
My favourite is Ingmar Bergman`s "The Seventh Seal"...
On the second place, Ken Loach`s "Riff-Raff"...
Third, "Nosferatu, eine symphonie des grauens", by F.W. Murnau
The Seventh Seal is great, thats where I got my avatar picture! Death is a real bastard!
One of my all time favorite movies is "Equilibrium" with Christian Bayle.
And... I pretty much like all his movies, the "Prestige" is awesome too.
dein wrote:Even though I know it's going to be cheesy, I am currently waiting for the new "Terminator" movie.

I recently watched a Japanese film, called Niku Daruma (I think that's how it's spelt) Someone recommended it after I saw A Serbian Film, which was quite horrific. Anyone heard of it, and/or seen it?
It's odd, and quite gory. A girl's tongue gets scraped with a potato peeler, then cut with some sheers. Lovely stuff.

I love this series!

Does anyone here watch it?
rlk222 wrote:I just got Seasons of :
True Blood 1-4 (weird, but grows on you about halfway through season 1)
Breaking Bad 1-2 (not watched it yet)
Weeds 1-6 (watched all 6 seasons I had, EXCELLENT)
Game of Thrones 1 (season 1, not watched yet)
Anyone else recommend any series I may have missed that are cool? I like getting them when they have at least 2-3 seasons in, so I don't have to be in suspense =)

It's not one of those films that has a cliffhanger end is it? That normally kills a movie, lol!
Alzamora wrote: Game of Thrones, fucking amazing can't wait for season two.

If you enjoyed Oldboy you should check out Sympathy for Mr Vengeance and Lady Vengeance also. They are both directed by Park Chan-Wook too, and form a loose vengeance trilogy. There is no connecting thread between the films other than the idea of revenge, and I recommend them both highly.
MetalRam77 wrote:Just watched Woman in Black. Excellent, genuinely scary and in the tradition of the old Hammer classics.
UnAs wrote:Last night i watched The Life of David Gale with Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslet ..
Pretty good movie..I recommend it
Alzamora wrote:Django Unchained, awesome movie very fun to watch. My only real problem with the movie was, they said nigger a bit too much for my liking. Other than that good film, everything you would expect from a Tarantino film for sure. Go watch it.

That's true, but i love her cause she's a great actress, not only cause she's extremely hot, like most people do.

Blakkheim wrote:Saw The Conjuring last friday. Very awesome. Also, very good cast.
muskurov wrote:Watched jOBS yesterday and it is a bitter disappointment. Although I was well prepared by the harsh reviews of the film, it left me wonder how this was so poorly made. Almost no plot, flat characters and this boredom took more than two hours. To be honest any documentary I've seen on Apple/Jobs/Gates was better than this movie.
The She-Wolf wrote:Watched the last X-men film yesterday. I never liked Marvel's heros and, although the storyline was interesting, overall it was total BS, mainly in what scientific stuff was concerned.
Can someone recommend some good films, please?
The She-Wolf wrote:Watched "Fury" yesterday, great film! An excellent representation of what war actually looks like.
BTW, I have only watched half of Interstellar so far, I'm waiting for a better file
