Is it good? Been considering it. I like a bit o' Therion here and there but haven't bothered getting anything since Runes (which is quite good). I'm seeing them in Dublin in Sept (with Mael Mórdha :D) so I suppose I should get to know it...

Ezzi Lunara wrote:Paradise Lost`s In Requiem

Saw them support Type O on Thurs. Seemed decent but a bit different from what i expected. I'd say it'd been much better if I was familiar with their material.

I think its one of the best albums i've heard so far. And the best i've heard this year. But I have to say it's a grower, you'll have to listen to it at least a few times to make a good impression. It really bombastic and metal and a lot of other influences. The whole album has clean vocals unlike the other albums. I think you should download it before you buy it, that way you won't be disapointed.

Yes, I did not like A Natural disaster at first but after a few spins I think it is a very good Anathema record, more consistent and emotional than "A Fine Day To Exit". Do you already have Alternative 4? That to me is the greatest Anathema record, fucking amazing.

I just got the new Amorphis "Silent Waters" and it is one of the best Cd's I've heard this year along with the new Behemoth (BRUTALLLLLL)!

What kind of music this Italian Grendel plays? Here in Finland we also have a band the same name :) and there are one in Netherland too.

Black metal! Nearly in Taake way.

New stuff I bought:

Amorphis - Eclipse ltd digipack
Amorphis - Silent Waters ltd digipack
Tristania - Midwinter Tears (CD1: all tracks from "Tristania" and the "Angina" single. CD2 is a DVD that contains the "Widow's Tour" video.)
Aerosmith - A Little South Of Sanity (someone stole it to me in the far 1998 when this great live came out, and I actually bought it @ Graspop, Belgium, when I saw them live! I don't listen much to them anymore, it's the music of my early adolescence, but...what a show!)

I bought the following stuff also for its price (8,90 euros per cd):

Anathema - A Natural Desaster
Nevermore - Dead Heart In A Dead World
Marilyn Manson - Portrait Of An American Family (had it on cassette, pure fun!)

Yep! The Ulver album needs a bit more time, though. But I'm sure I'll like it eventually.

I went kind of crazy on cdon.com here the other day and ordered the following cd's:

Antimatter - Leaving Eden
Antimatter - Planetary Confinement
Godspeed you! black Emperor - Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada EP
Nightwish - Dark Passion Play (because it was cheap)
The Ark - In Lust we Trust (because it was ridiculously cheap)
Anathema - Were you There? (music dvd)

That is what happens every time someone puts money in my hands...

I just bought those 2 Antimatter Cd's from the End Records, great music!

Haven't really gotten into it yet, but I must say that that was only after 2 and a half listens, wherein I found myself enjoying bloodflower the most.

Cheers.

Bloodflower is my favourite too. Such a great song!

I just know three bands of this list. Darkthrone, Colosseum and Shining.
Great bands.

You probably know Enslaved and Nick Cave of that list as well. As for the others, I think you may enjoy Grivf. As point of reference I would say that it sounds like mix of Burzum and Worship. Noothgrush and Fleshpress are on the sludgy side and amazing. Sinpularctos is a one man project that plays "ANTI - HUMANIST BLACKENED DOOM METAL" and is highly recommended too.
Both Dead Beat Project and Lysergene are experimental projects, I think of Esoteric bandmembers.

Apart from pre-(esoteric) and back-(mourners lament) orders, expecting Fall of the Idols - The Seance to show up.

Not cd and not even music related, but I finally got "my little cthulhu" and "my little victims" yesterday. Just showing off :P

CD prices over here vary really, depending on if they're a new release or not, or if you purchase them for an independant record store or a major chain such as HMV..

what an autumn with MDB and Therion albums coming soon.

Sounds interesting. as Sehnsucht was a disappointment for me and I didn't knew they have a new one out. Will give it a try, thank you :)

If you like this, then I can heartily recommend the other material too. Not a bad album among them. :ok: There is even an excellent cover of "Symphonaire Infernus et Spera Empyrium" on "Enchanted By Gravemould"

Thanks, will definitely check them out :)

Also in the post:

7 Days of Funk CD
Sleaford Mods Jobseeker 7"
Epicurean Escapism 2 CD
COIL Shirt (From Cold Spring Records)

Preordered Nile and Slayers upcoming records, both seem promising especially Nile.

Good to see some anti-ISIS lyrics, even if Nile seem to be taking an impartial approach to it on Facebook. Very impressive track imo. :worship:

It is truly amazing, I think I'll get the full 8 hours piece also some day. It would be interesting to use it as a background music to sleep on. I did that with Evinta and it was a fantastic experience with fantasies and nightmares :D

Mmm, haven't really bought much lately. Not much catching my interest this year. Bought the reissue of Nemesis Divina, Sarcófago's I.N.R.I., an edition of The Angel and the Dark River I didn't have, replaced my scratched Ulver debut with a new one, same with Bathory's The Return.....

2016 has been a very mediocre year in my opinion, the only truly worthwhile (as in 90% or above score) was Abyssic's debut, with a few releases around 70-80% (Destroying the Devoid, Sulphur, Cirith Gorgor, Moonsorrow, Ripper, Megadeth) ... but nothing that really begs to be played over and over again. That being said, there are a few releases coming up that I'll buy regardless of quality because collection, like the new Metallica and Testament.
I breed in chaotic frenzy!
